The University of the Aegean and the National Technical University of Athens
join their forces to offer studies in innovative entrepreneurship.

A new and pioneering master’s in
“Digital Innovation and Startup Entrepreneurship”

The Department of Information and Communication Systems Engineering of the University of the Aegean together with the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) are going to offer a joint MSc in Digital Innovation and Startup Entrepreneurship for the academic year 2018-2019.

The new master’s programme, equivalent to an International Master’s and offering 120 ECTS, follows a pioneering study programme that utilizes the activity of both NTUA and the University of the Aegean in similar postgraduate programmes, business accelerators, as well as international partnerships. More specifically:

  • The programme’s courses cover not only the technological aspects (AI, IoT, blockchain, big data, digital marketing, social media analytics, cloud, mobiles), but also the innovative administrative factors (startup financials, lean management, innovation management, supply chain) and the new digital business models that form the core of startup entrepreneurship.
  • The master’s programme requires students to analyze and design digital products and services, and create business plans, under the guidance of business executives, investors and specialists in Greece and abroad. During the study programme, students can also find internship opportunities in business incubators and accelerators, and attend summer schools offered by the University of the Aegean.
  • The study programme gives honours students the opportunity to attend related courses, to take part in business incubators or carry out projects in prestigious international universities (TU Delft, UC Berkeley, ETH).

With the joint support of two universities, in terms of classrooms, teaching staff, equipment and promotion, the new master’s programme will have tuition fees of €4,500 and offer a broad range of scholarships and funding based on students’ academic performance and financial status. The study programme involves face-to-face classes at the NTUA campus in Athens, as well as distance learning classes, facilitating the educational process for working students. The duration of the full-time programme is 4 semesters, including the MSc thesis; the duration of the part-time programme is 8 semesters.

Online application deadline: 10 September 2018
